At this point in my life journey, I am in near constant communication with my higher self, my spirit guides and nature spirits. One of the interesting effects of this is that I can clearly feel a difference when I shift from my familiar human perspective into the expansive, cosmic perspective. Both coexist inside of me and both are valid and important.

My human experience is rich with emotions, limitations, challenges, sweet surprises and vibrant pleasures. My cosmic experience is transcendent, limitless, infinitely creative, equanimous and pure love.

My cosmic self however does not judge and diminish my human self or deny the intensities and emotional and physical complexities of our human lives. My cosmic self, rather, is source of compassion, gentle reassurance, comfort, energy and direction for my human self. My human self provides a playful and wild field of co-creation and the full array of life experiences for my cosmic self.

My art can only exist in interplay between my human self and my cosmic self. A sense of infinite possibilities and cosmic creativity AND the earthly limitations of my circumstances, skills and unique confluences of millions of experiences and relationships create my art as you see it.

It both arises from my human-ness, my physical hands, all that I have seen and felt, this world, our time, our community AND my spirit-ness, my cosmic connection, something bigger than me channeling through me into our shared world. My art is both distinctly mine and also a transpersonal transmission from beyond.

I have been busy creating my booth design for WonderCon this coming weekend. So excited for the experience and to hopefully meet a handful of you all.

I have also been diligently working to finish all the tasks (including working on some brand new zipper pouches that are super cute!) needed in order to create space for a deep dive creative painting retreat for myself in April.

Expect a newsletter from me next week and then I will be going silent for the rest of April both here and on Instagram to delve into my inner world and creative process with less division of my attention. It really does take planning, sacrifice and devotion to make this space but I am determined to do it!
