I am writing to you from a cute little french cafe down the block from my home. The Sunday afternoon sunshine is pouring in and I am slowing sipping my iced almond milk latte, wondering what to share with you this week. Yesterday, I did an impromptu ritual out in my back yard by the star pines, the eucalyptus trees and the sycamore tree with its silver bark and ruby red leaves. I lit a desert pinon incense stick and imagined the fire and smoke burning and clearing away all the chords and tethers scattering my energy. A feeling of loneliness can not always be cured by a loved one. Sometimes, when we are feeling disconnected internally, we feel alone no matter what. When our hearts are closed, the love coming in has no where to land and any love that does come in never feels like enough. When this is happening, it is a good time to ritually burn away the chords which are simply a symbol of us trying to get something energetically from another person that they can not truly give us in this moment. These chords can feel very draining and it is so healing to release them. The true soul connection will remain. Only the imbalanced energy dynamic will be dissolved. The tethers can be also be connected to all the over-stimulating information flowing into our world. This can come from many sources but in this day and age it often shows up as over-consuming media especially fast-paced short form videos or hot takes. This web of tethers to everything that is coming in can be scattering and draining, diminishing our ability to remain longer in a flow state. So I like to imagine these micro tethers also burning away and returning my focus and energy to me. After the clearing, I put a few drops of citrus essential oil in to the palms of my hands, rubbed them together and held them up to my face, taking deep breaths and immersing myself in the uplifting scent of mandarin oranges and lemons. I stood in the sun and felt the golden light wrap around my shoulders. I tuned into the presence of Spirit in the form of the sun and scent. I consciously softened into a feeling sense of not being alone. With each breath, I let the love of Spirit embrace me and fill me up. I envisioned a circle of my spirit guides, teachers, guardians and angels, all of the highest vibration, all around me. I tuned into their care for me, their unconditional love and willingness to help me with intuitive guidance, energetic healing, and the opening up of aligned pathways to me. Then I drew an oracle card for the following questions:
To close the ritual, I thanked all the energies that were released, my higher self, my spirit guides and teachers, the angels, the nature spirits all around me and Spirit. Then, I rang a ritual bell and asked that this energy work be balanced and stabilized in my physical and energy body and truly shift my perception and experience in the coming weeks. Perhaps, this will inspire you to do your intuitive version of this ritual.
